The LGM 2010 venue is an historic piano factory, freshly renovated into a lively exhibition and workspace.

In addition to the lecture hall for presentations, there are several spaces available for teams to discuss and work in, plus three separate meeting rooms. Wireless Internet and power to plug your laptop are well taken care of; coffee, tea and soft drinks are provided for free (courtesy of De Pianofabriek) and a warm lunch will be served at the venue at a modest price.

De Pianofabriek welcomes LGM-participants every LGM-day until 18:00.

Like in previous years, LGM tries to be a carbon-neutral event. Please take a minute to register and tell us about your means of travel so we can make sure carbon-points are compensated.

By Train

The best way to reach LGM 2010 is by train: fast TGV, ICE, Eurostar or Thalys trains take you to Brussels South station (a.k.a. 'Bruxelles Midi', 'Gare du Midi' or 'Zuidstation') which is a 15 min. walk from De Pianofabriek. Alternatively, you can take tram 3, 4, 51 and 33 to Parvis de St. Gilles / Sint Gillis Voorplein.

By Plane

Book your plane to Brussels International Airport. From there you can take a train to Brussels Midi station (20 mins) which is a 15 min. walk from De Pianofabriek. Alternatively, you can take tram 3, 4, 51 and 33 to Parvis de St. Gilles / Sint Gillis Voorplein.

By Car

Long term parking is difficult in a city like Brussels and virtually impossible near venue; if you really do need to travel by car: neighboring Forest has options, such as Avenue Besme (near Avenue Jupiter). From there it is a 10 min walk to De Pianofabriek.

By Public Transport

De Pianofabriek can be reached by Metro 2 and 6 (Porte De Hal / Hallepoort); Tram 3, 4, 51, 33; Bus 48 (Parvis de St. Gilles / Sint Gillis Voorplein) or Tram 81, 83 (Guillaume Tell / Willem Tell)

The venue is just south of Brussels city center so any of the hundreds of smaller or larger hotels in St. Gillis (postal code: 1060) or Brussels Center (1000) you pick, would work.

Hostels

There are several good youth-hostels in Brussels, all in easy reach of De Pianofabriek by public transport but you need to book early!

The Sleep Well Hostel (central location; connected through multiple trams, metros) and Bruegel (20 mins walking distance from venue) are probably your best bet.
